This  is my spartan 3E development board, by Xilinx, running the Pac Man arcade.

It is powerful enough to run a Commodore Vic -20 and other 8 bit computers. The picture above, is the actual pac man arcade machine. The hardware was recreated and "downloaded" into the board.

This can be done as many times as we want, so it is possible to have the board act as an arcade machine to play that old arcade game we love, and a few minutes later, turn the board into a computer or something else. And it does not have to be a complex system... it can be even a christmas light controller!!!!

It is, in fact, a engineer toy. But, you don't have to have a bacharel in computer engineering enjoy one. There is plenty of websites on the net with lots of projects almost ready to use.

 Running the Vic 20 computer.

My other board, which can also be seen in my FPGA pages. It is an Altera DE1 development board. It is very powerful, and can be used to recreate the MSX2 computer, and even an Amiga.

One of my last acquisitions was this nice, cool piece of hardware:

10'' touch screen Monitor.

Why it is so cool? Well... it is touch screen when used with Windows. And, it has 2 composite video inputs (RCA cables). Plus. the  VGA input allows me to connect my development boards, and make it easy go mobile because I don't have to be always close to a big VGA monitor anymore for my projects. I can carry my mini VGA wherever I need to.
